KATHMANDU: Earlier on November 21, top leaders of the three major political parties—Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN Maoist Centre held a meeting to resolve their differences over the purported amendment of Constitution , but failed to make any headway after the UML stuck to its stance against the amendment proposal .

Dahal at the meeting had floated a proposal to go for elections after amending the Constitution, but could not make any solid decision after the UML leaders questioned the essence of the purported amendment.The government on Wednesday has decided to register the Constituent amendment proposal at the Parliament within few days.

A meeting held among the leaders of ruling parties and Madhesi Morcha at the official residence of Prime Minister in Baluwatar this morning gave responsibility to Prime Minister and CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to move ahead with the Constitution amendment proposal.
