Intercast marriage in Nepal

One of the most striking public display of the truth on what the people think about their caste was seen when model and journalist Samriddhi Rai told that she didn’t want to marry the guy in her own caste. She told she didn’t want to look at a Rai guy, because she was forced by her family members to do so. She told she wanted to be a Nepali rather than a girl of Rai-clan. Intercaste marriage is still a taboo in Nepali society. People have higher affiliation towards their own religion. Young generations are also obsessed by the caste and even the Gotra, a religious categorization of people in the society.

Man killed his wife for not dressing according to his desire

The woman also had a freedom and she is free to do whatever she wants
and free to wear whatever she likes but the man was so insecure with her
that it lead him to kill his own wife. He was jealous with her and he
didn’t like the ways he dressed. We can clearly see how cheap the
mentality of the man was.

He was boosting about being a man and he ended up killing his 21 year
old wife. The woman had not done anything; her only mistake was she
didn’t listen to him and his rule. She wore a dress she liked and it
took her to the death.
A 21-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband for violating
his “dress code” as she continued to wear jeans and T-shirt which he
disapproved for her. The accused, a 24-year-old man identified as Ranjit
Nishad, is absconding. After repeated arguments with his wife, Pooja,
over wearing jeans and T-shirt a few days back, the accused allegedly
assaulted and killed the woman, locked the house and fled. The crime
came to light on Friday after neighbors smelt odor of the decomposed
body emanating from the house in Gultekadi area.

A day after the victim’s decomposed body was recovered from her
residence at Meenatai Thackeray slums in Gultekdi, the Swargate police
said the postmortem report revealed that Pooja was allegedly throttled
to death. This is really sickening video, how a conservative mind was
leading a guy to commit a crime. This is a very shameful case as a man
killed his wife just for wearing a dress that he didn’t like.

And he did it for love.“In some ways it would be better if that is what happened,” said Kumar Dal, a textile merchant also waiting in line at the palace. “If there was some other kind of conspiracy it would be terrible for the country.”The story gaining most currency is that Dipendra flew into a rage when cornered at a family gathering over his choice of bride, whom his parents disapproved of.As a senior officer in the army, he had easy access to a weapon and knew how to use it. When his rage cleared, and surrounded by shocked palace aides who did not know what to do next, Dipendra shot himself. An air of uncertainty hangs over Nepal’s capital like the storm clouds that have gathered ahead of the monsoon season.Five days after almost the entire royal family was gunned down in a bloody palace massacre, ordinary Nepalis are still none the wiser as to what actually happened.“This waiting and being told nothing is not good,” said Talir Maship, as he waited in line to sign a condolence book at the Royal Palace. “It breeds gossip and bad theories.”But the one theory that is increasingly being accepted as truth is the one almost nobody wants to believe – that Crown Prince Dipendra slaughtered his parents, the king and queen, and seven other members of his family before turning the weapon on himself.

This Story About Prachanda And Baburam

From Libang convention, Prachanda and Baburam duo started their nefarious designs to destroy and discredit the party’s revolutionary image. The 12-point New Delhi agreement was the climax to sabotage the revolutionary way. The agreement was a well planned design of Prachanda and Baburam, who signed the agreement when two of our leaders Mohan Baidhya Kiran and C.P. Gajurel were in prison in India. We have now realized that this was a conspiracy. When our party was almost in a position to capture power and establish Nepal as the People’s Republic they surrendered with expansionist and revisionist forces.Ours’ is the mainstream Maoist party with a revolutionary zeal. All revolutionaries who fought 12 years of war with the state are with us. I think CPN-Maoist will show its strength. This is a part of a rebellion against the agents of foreign expansionist, reactionary and regressive forces. After the signing of the 12-point agreement, a section of people like Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Baburam Bhattarai, in disguise as Maoists, destroyed our revolutionary party. We have warned from time to time against their design but they did not listen to us. Finally, we had no option other than to leave the group led by reactionaries Prachanda and Baburam, who surrendered our beloved People’s Army to the reactionary group. Don’t count the number of workers who are with us and who are against us. The important thing is those who come with us are revolutionary workers who sacrificed their entire life for the cause of people. The party led by Prachanda is now just a bunch of people who don’t have anything but a looted money of our fighters and money they get from their masters. I am confident that a large number of revolutionaries will join us in the future.

Narendra Modi With King Salman unseen video

The achievements of the Modi government are also weighed down by the burden of public expectations the Indian media has published report cards on the government’s performance after its first 100 days in office, at the six-month mark, the one year mark, and now at the end of the second year in office. No other administration has ever faced such close scrutiny. Furthermore, the gargantuan scale of what needs to be done to bring the country in line with the ambitions of the younger generation, dwarfs into insignificance any accomplishment. Narendra Modi could have dreamed that he would mould India’s foreign policy so decisively. Observers both foreign and domestic opined that Modi would not focus on international affairs much, while choosing to focus on the domestic Augean stables he inherited instead.

The wisdom was that, at most, Modi’s India might modestly reach out to its own neighbourhood, and that anything beyond the region would primarily be to buttress the country’s faltering economy.India’s track record in translating words into deeds has been poor throughout its history, and it would be foolhardy to bet on noises in the pipeline too soon.

Health Benefits of Mangos

1. Prevents Cancer:
Research has shown antioxidant compounds in mango fruit have been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. These compounds include quercetin, isoquercitrin, astragalin, fisetin, gallic acid and methylgallat, as well as the abundant enzymes.

2. Lowers Cholesterol:
The high levels of fiber, pectin and vitamin C help to lower serum cholesterol levels, specifically Low-Density Lipoprotein (the bad stuff).

3. Clears the Skin:
Can be used both internally and externally for the skin. Mangos help clear clogged pores and eliminate pimples.

4. Improves Eye Health:
One cup of sliced mangoes supplies 25 percent of the needed daily value of vitamin A, which promotes good eyesight and prevents night blindness and dry eyes.

5. Alkalizes the Whole Body:
The tartaric acid, malic acid, and a trace of citric acid found in the fruit help to maintain the alkali reserve of the body.

6. May Help with Diabetes:
Mango leaves help normalize insulin levels in the blood. The traditional home remedy involves boiling leaves in water, soaking through the night and then consuming the filtered decoction in the morning. Mango fruit also has a relatively low glycemic index (41-60) so moderate quantities will not spike your sugar levels.

7. Promotes Healthy Sex:
Mangos are a great source of vitamin E. Even though the popular connection between sex drive and vitamin E was originally created by a mistaken generalization on rat studies, further research has shown balanced proper amounts (from whole foods) does help.

8. Improves Digestion:
Papayas are not the only fruit that contain enzymes for breaking down protein. There are several fruits, including mangoes, which have this healthful quality. The fiber in mangos also helps digestion and elimination.

9. Helps Fight Heat Stroke:
Juicing the fruit from green mango and mixing with water and a sweetener helps to cool down the body and prevent harm from overheating. From an ayurvedic viewpoint, the reason people often get diuretic and exhausted when visiting equatorial climates is because the strong “sun energy” is burning up your body, particularly the muscles. The kidneys then become overloaded with the toxins from this process.

10. Boosts the Immune System:
The generous amounts of vitamin C and vitamin A in mangos, plus 25 different kinds of carotenoids keep your immune system healthy and strong.

Why do girls get fat after marriage?

The rewards for weight maintenance — attention, compliments, gifts — often peter out or stop when they marry. And they get older, which makes weight management harder. Husbands who care about their wives’ weight can make exercise, a good diet, and time for them a priority for both of them. (The folks at the end of wishing our days away are great role models for this.) They can also keep the rewards coming, maybe even increase them in recognition of the extra effort required.Their priorities shift. Many enjoy cooking for their mates and therefore prepare and eat more than they did before marrying. Many take on new responsibilities — earning income or raising children — that lead to rushed eating or loss of exercise time.

During the peak season, you may see a local farmer balancing a bamboo pole across his shoulders, holding two wicker woven baskets full of freshly picked vegetables, heading to the market. In Nepali vegetable markets, one can experience the proud skills of vendors arranging every tiny space with a dramatic display of vegetables and fruits. Greens, such as spinach, mustard, fresh coriander, and garden cress are neatly tied in small bundles and piled up in a beautiful way. A variety of dry vegetables such as potatoes, onions, and shallots are skillfully arranged in a wicker trays, or baskets or in jute-burlap sacks. On many street corners, vendors set up small stands with the fresh fruits and vegetables such as green gooseberry, labsi (Hog plum), guava, or tangerines. The vegetables are sold in the markets weighted in a hand-held local scale, known as taraaju, which comes in a variety of sizes and forms. Nepal has a complex topography with hills and flat lands, and the Kathmandu valley is renowned for the seasonal vegetables grown in its fertile soil. Vegetables (tarkaari) are one of the most important foods in the daily Nepali diet, and a typical Nepali meal consists of rice, lentils, and some kind of side vegetable dish. The most common vegetables include green beans, cauliflowers, cabbage, eggplants, greens (mustard, spinach), okra, potatoes, Nepali radish, squash, tomatoes and many other seasonal local vegetables. Due to the scarcity of cultivated land in many rural and hilly areas of Nepal, fresh vegetables are limited, so locals tend to consume root vegetables as well as dried and fermented vegetables. Generally, green leafy vegetables such as spinach and mustard greens are eaten daily in large quantities wherever available. Vegetables are also made into pickles, salads, snacks, and desserts.

He did not say who he was referring to, but neighbouring India has made clear its displeasure over the federal borders laid out in Nepal’s new constitution, which many believe will disadvantage communities living in the plains with close cultural ties to India.Gyanendra stepped down from the throne in June 2008 after parliament voted to abolish Nepal’s 240-year-old Hindu monarchy, transforming the country into a secular republic. Commentators said the former king, whose reign was not popular, was likely using the current period of political instability in Nepal to reassert his authority.Nepal’s former king has warned that national unity is under attack, making a rare public statement after protests sparked by proposed changes to new federal borders. Gyanendra Shah, the last king of Nepal, was deposed eight years ago following a Maoist revolution and has since largely refrained from public comment on the country’s fractious politics. He broke his silence with a statement late on Wednesday in which he warned of growing divisions between the communities that inhabit the southern plains and the central hill areas of the Himalayan country over suggested changes to internal borders. “Social harmony among Nepali people is waning and efforts are being made to break the bonds of unity between the plains, the hills and the mountains,” Shah said in a statement.Shah accused “temporary powers” who he said were “gaining strength under the influence of outside forces” of creating these divisions.

Nepal earthquake

Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless with entire villages flattened,[16][18][19] across many districts of the country. Centuries-old buildings were destroyed at UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley, including some at the Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Patan Durbar Square, the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the Changu Narayan Temple, the Boudhanath stupa and the Swayambhunath Stupa. Geophysicists and other experts had warned for decades that Nepal was vulnerable to a deadly earthquake, particularly because of its geology, urbanization, and architecture. Continued aftershocks occurred throughout Nepal at the intervals of 15–20 minutes, with one shock reaching a magnitude of 6.7 on 26 April at 12:54:08 NST. The country also had a continued risk of landslides. A major aftershock occurred on 12 May 2015 at 12:50 NST with a moment magnitude (Mw) of 7.3. The epicenter was near the Chinese border between the capital of Kathmandu and Mt. Everest. More than 200 people were killed and more than 2,500 were injured by this aftershock. The April 2015 Nepal earthquake (also known as the Gorkha earthquake) killed nearly 9,000 people and injured nearly 22,000. It occurred at 11:56 Nepal Standard Time on 25 April, with a magnitude of 7.8Mw or 8.1Ms and a maximum Mercalli Intensity of IX (Violent). Its epicenter was east of Gorkha District at Barpak, Gorkha, and its hypocenter was at a depth of approximately 8.2 km (5.1 mi).[1] It was the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal–Bihar earthquake.[10][11][12] The ground motion recorded in Kathmandu valley was of low frequency which, along with its occurrence at an hour where many people in rural areas were working outdoors, decreased the loss of property and human life. The earthquake triggered an avalanche on Mount Everest, killing 21,[14] making April 25, 2015 the deadliest day on the mountain in history.[15] The earthquake triggered another huge avalanche in the Langtang valley, where 250 people were reported missing.

Interview with Sangita Magar

Her health is slowly improving and there has been progress in her eyesight. However, sad news is that the perpetrator still hasn’t been caught and no one has been arrested on suspicion. Reasons for the henious attack is still unclear, but whatever it was, no one deserves having acid thrown on their faces or body parts. We cannot take away what has happened , but for now our concern should be to support the two victims with their recovery.Acid Attack is a cruel form of oppression of women, leaving victims, not only with physical scars, but psychological torment. They leave a long-term pain, disfigurement and misery. *Nepal’s legal system has no specific provision for acid attacks, however, culprits, if arrested, are booked under culpable homicide which carries a fine of up to Rs 2,000 and a maximum sentence of four months. Sima Basnet suffers from burns to her face and is being treated at Bir Hospital, Kathmandu. Meanwhile, Sangita Pulami Magar who was affected the most, suffers from horrific burns to her face, neck, chest and hands is still being treated by a team of plastic surgeons and ophthalmologists at Kathmandu Medical College hospital. After speaking to the father of Sangita ( Prem Pulami Magar) on the phone, I found out that the treatment for Sangita is ongoing.

The walls display portraits of 250 years worth of Nepalese kings — and photos of more contemporary visitors — Queen Elizabeth, Romania’s Nicolae Ceaucescu, China’s Jiang Zemin.Prabal Baniya, who’s 30, is a guide here. He used to work for the last king — and Baniya’s father worked in the palace before him. He thinks it was a big mistake for Nepal to end its monarchy “Now, the situation is not so good, compared to before,” he said. “Different parties are only fighting among themselves … in my view; there must be a king, to look after his children.” The royal palace is a tourist site now, where families pose for photos at the gates. You can go in and stroll around, through halls where kings once walked — past stuffed tigers shot by monarchs, and shimmering chandeliers over long, polished banquet tables. “Oh my God, what a life they were living, inside,” Librarian Ananta Koirala exclaimed. “And being a Nepali citizen, I’m facing the lives of the poor people in the country. But after seeing this palace, I’m really shocked. What a sophisticated life inside the palace.”

Pain solution of Body – Health Tips

In many cases, however, tingling in the hands, feet, or both can be severe, episodic, or chronic. It also can accompany other symptoms. such as pain, itching, numbness, and muscle wasting. In such cases, tingling may be a sign of nerve damage, which can result from causes as varied as traumatic injuries or repetitive stress injuries, bacterial or viral infections, toxic exposures, and systemic diseases such as diabetes. Tingling hands, feet, or both is an extremely common and bothersome symptom. Such tingling can sometimes be benign and temporary. For example, it could result from pressure on nerves when your arm is crooked under your head as you fall asleep. Or it could be from pressure on nerves when you cross your legs too long. In either case, the “pins and needles” effect — which is usually painless — is soon relieved by removing the pressure that caused it.

Administered by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Victims’ Trust Fund facilitates actual, on-the-ground humanitarian, legal and financial aid to victims of trafficking through a range of avenues, including governmental, inter-governmental and civil society organizations. The Victims’ Trust Fund has one primary objective: to provide the opportunity for people from all walks of life including governments, the private sector, international organizations, NGOs and individuals to work together to provide practical and effective solutions to assist victims of human trafficking across the globe. At any given time, millions of people are trapped in modern-day slavery through human trafficking. Women, children and men across the globe find themselves being enslaved in forced labour and domestic servitude, sexually exploited or used as child soldiers. According to the United Nations Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, human trafficking is defined as the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation. Exploitation includes, at the minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of other or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs. Human Trafficking has become a global enterprise affecting nearly ever country in the world. It is a crime that shames us all. Sadly, indications point toward most trafficked persons as never being formally identified – a cruel twist which denies them assistance when they most critically need it. In a bid to provide help and support to those most affected, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has launched the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Human Trafficking.
