Intercast marriage in Nepal

One of the most striking public display of the truth on what the people think about their caste was seen when model and journalist Samriddhi Rai told that she didn’t want to marry the guy in her own caste. She told she didn’t want to look at a Rai guy, because she was forced by her family members to do so. She told she wanted to be a Nepali rather than a girl of Rai-clan. Intercaste marriage is still a taboo in Nepali society. People have higher affiliation towards their own religion. Young generations are also obsessed by the caste and even the Gotra, a religious categorization of people in the society.

Man killed his wife for not dressing according to his desire

The woman also had a freedom and she is free to do whatever she wants
and free to wear whatever she likes but the man was so insecure with her
that it lead him to kill his own wife. He was jealous with her and he
didn’t like the ways he dressed. We can clearly see how cheap the
mentality of the man was.

He was boosting about being a man and he ended up killing his 21 year
old wife. The woman had not done anything; her only mistake was she
didn’t listen to him and his rule. She wore a dress she liked and it
took her to the death.
A 21-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband for violating
his “dress code” as she continued to wear jeans and T-shirt which he
disapproved for her. The accused, a 24-year-old man identified as Ranjit
Nishad, is absconding. After repeated arguments with his wife, Pooja,
over wearing jeans and T-shirt a few days back, the accused allegedly
assaulted and killed the woman, locked the house and fled. The crime
came to light on Friday after neighbors smelt odor of the decomposed
body emanating from the house in Gultekadi area.

A day after the victim’s decomposed body was recovered from her
residence at Meenatai Thackeray slums in Gultekdi, the Swargate police
said the postmortem report revealed that Pooja was allegedly throttled
to death. This is really sickening video, how a conservative mind was
leading a guy to commit a crime. This is a very shameful case as a man
killed his wife just for wearing a dress that he didn’t like.

This Story About Prachanda And Baburam

From Libang convention, Prachanda and Baburam duo started their nefarious designs to destroy and discredit the party’s revolutionary image. The 12-point New Delhi agreement was the climax to sabotage the revolutionary way. The agreement was a well planned design of Prachanda and Baburam, who signed the agreement when two of our leaders Mohan Baidhya Kiran and C.P. Gajurel were in prison in India. We have now realized that this was a conspiracy. When our party was almost in a position to capture power and establish Nepal as the People’s Republic they surrendered with expansionist and revisionist forces.Ours’ is the mainstream Maoist party with a revolutionary zeal. All revolutionaries who fought 12 years of war with the state are with us. I think CPN-Maoist will show its strength. This is a part of a rebellion against the agents of foreign expansionist, reactionary and regressive forces. After the signing of the 12-point agreement, a section of people like Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Baburam Bhattarai, in disguise as Maoists, destroyed our revolutionary party. We have warned from time to time against their design but they did not listen to us. Finally, we had no option other than to leave the group led by reactionaries Prachanda and Baburam, who surrendered our beloved People’s Army to the reactionary group. Don’t count the number of workers who are with us and who are against us. The important thing is those who come with us are revolutionary workers who sacrificed their entire life for the cause of people. The party led by Prachanda is now just a bunch of people who don’t have anything but a looted money of our fighters and money they get from their masters. I am confident that a large number of revolutionaries will join us in the future.

The proposal should be discussed at the House.” He also criticised some central leaders of ruling Nepali Congress and CPN Maoist Centre for objecting to the government’s proposal to split the Province No. 5. “This is a drama,” he said, “We have asked Sher Bahadur Deuba and Prachanda (Pushpa Kamal Dahal) either to stop it or take action.” Speaking in a different context, Mahato said the Madhesi parties never demanded that persons with naturalised citizenship should be given rights to hold significant positions including the President and the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi With King Salman unseen video

The achievements of the Modi government are also weighed down by the burden of public expectations the Indian media has published report cards on the government’s performance after its first 100 days in office, at the six-month mark, the one year mark, and now at the end of the second year in office. No other administration has ever faced such close scrutiny. Furthermore, the gargantuan scale of what needs to be done to bring the country in line with the ambitions of the younger generation, dwarfs into insignificance any accomplishment. Narendra Modi could have dreamed that he would mould India’s foreign policy so decisively. Observers both foreign and domestic opined that Modi would not focus on international affairs much, while choosing to focus on the domestic Augean stables he inherited instead.

The wisdom was that, at most, Modi’s India might modestly reach out to its own neighbourhood, and that anything beyond the region would primarily be to buttress the country’s faltering economy.India’s track record in translating words into deeds has been poor throughout its history, and it would be foolhardy to bet on noises in the pipeline too soon.

Nepal’s former king has warned that national

He did not say who he was referring to, but neighbouring India has made clear its displeasure over the federal borders laid out in Nepal’s new constitution, which many believe will disadvantage communities living in the plains with close cultural ties to India.Gyanendra stepped down from the throne in June 2008 after parliament voted to abolish Nepal’s 240-year-old Hindu monarchy, transforming the country into a secular republic. Commentators said the former king, whose reign was not popular, was likely using the current period of political instability in Nepal to reassert his authority.Nepal’s former king has warned that national unity is under attack, making a rare public statement after protests sparked by proposed changes to new federal borders. Gyanendra Shah, the last king of Nepal, was deposed eight years ago following a Maoist revolution and has since largely refrained from public comment on the country’s fractious politics. He broke his silence with a statement late on Wednesday in which he warned of growing divisions between the communities that inhabit the southern plains and the central hill areas of the Himalayan country over suggested changes to internal borders. “Social harmony among Nepali people is waning and efforts are being made to break the bonds of unity between the plains, the hills and the mountains,” Shah said in a statement.Shah accused “temporary powers” who he said were “gaining strength under the influence of outside forces” of creating these divisions.

Actually, the palace and its furnishings look like they were lifted out of a kitchy early ’60s timewarp. That’s when the palace was built and decorated. The walls display portraits of 250 years worth of Nepalese kings — and photos of more contemporary visitors — Queen Elizabeth, Romania’s Nicolae Ceaucescu, China’s Jiang Zemin.Prabal Baniya, who’s 30, is a guide here. He used to work for the last king — and Baniya’s father worked in the palace before him. He thinks it was a big mistake for Nepal to end its monarchy “Now, the situation is not so good, compared to before,” he said. “Different parties are only fighting among themselves … in my view; there must be a king, to look after his children.” The royal palace is a tourist site now, where families pose for photos at the gates. You can go in and stroll around, through halls where kings once walked — past stuffed tigers shot by monarchs, and shimmering chandeliers over long, polished banquet tables. “Oh my God, what a life they were living, inside,” Librarian Ananta Koirala exclaimed. “And being a Nepali citizen, I’m facing the lives of the poor people in the country. But after seeing this palace, I’m really shocked. What a sophisticated life inside the palace.”
