Beating women in foreign country

Chandidal Battalion’s Karna Bahadur Basnet stood first with a timing of an hour, 17 minutes and 25 seconds, followed by Keshav Acharya and Biswas Baniya who completed the 21-kilometres distance in an hour and 19 minutes and an hour and 22 minutes respectively. Basnet will take home Rs 50,000 along with a certificate while the second and third runners-up will receive Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 along with certificates respectively. There were a total number of 25 participants from Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Nuwakot, including one woman from Bhaktapur. The Chandidal Battalion was crowned the winner of the first-ever Sindhuligadhi Open Half Marathon Competition held on Wednesday. The Kalamati Municipality of Sindhuligadhi organized the Open Half Marathon for promotion of tourism in historical Sindhuligadhi.
